Gibson Wedding

Nathan & Lauren chose to have their wedding in Jonesborough, TN at Grace Meadows Farm.

How Nathan and Lauren met: "So funny story, we were actually set up by my aunt, his mom, and his best man's twin sister. He was always the shy one and I spoke enough for the both of us. We dated for about 2 years. We had our breakups like most couples. I was 17 and he was 18. He was at Northeast and I was at South. I thought I was hot stuff dating a college boy lol. He asked me out for the first time on Valentine's Day in the food City parking lot. Thats was one memorable night. When I went off to UT we separated. He knew I was the one so he waited on me. I had my relationships but none compared to him. Then when I was finishing school I had to choose, the Army career I worked so hard for or to come home and marry my best friend.  Well we know what I chose and I'm so glad I did. So we dated on and off for 7.5 years.  Side note, our families called it from day 1 that would we get married and we both denied it

What was your favorite detail from your wedding? "My favorite detail of the wedding was the gorgeous cross that my grandfather built and my silk florist (Filomena's Florals) decorated. The cross came from old Chestnut barn wood that has been in the family for a 100 years. Having that family tie along with such a beautiful symbol, the perfect background and the most gorgeous flower decor made my wedding day perfect." -Lauren

What was your most memorable moment from your wedding day? "When the moment come for us to see each other at the ends of the aisle. Seeing each other at that point in time was a moment we will never forget. We talk about it all the time and how blessed we are to have found one another. I was so nervous that day I could barely breathe, but as soon as I saw Nathan every worry in the world was gone and I have never been happier than I was in those few seconds. Even after we didn't think our love could grow more for one another, in that moment it reached a level we thought was unheard of. It was a pure fairy tale. As each and every day goes by we find we love each other more and more. It's the weirdest but most comforting feeling either of us has ever felt." -Lauren 

What was his favorite part of your wedding day? His favorite detail of the wedding was my dress. It was something he never expected me to wear but he absolutely loved it. He talked about it all day long and still talks about it. He balled like a baby when I came down the aisle but will deny it if you ask him. :) -Lauren

Someone threw birdseed directly into Nathan's ear...

After Nathan and Lauren exited their wedding reception, Nathan had two surprises for Lauren! He had planned out their entire honeymoon and told her where they were going... One of her favorite places on earth, Cedar Point!  She was thrilled!! Cedar Point is a 364-acre amusement park located on a Lake Erie peninsula in Sandusky, Ohio. Nathan also gave her a Cricut Explore Air 2 machine! She was over the moon with excitement! :)

Lauren gave her mother and new mother-in-law these precious keepsake gifts...

Lauren had a very special surprise for her bridesmaids and flower girl, she made handmade quilts for each of them...

After the gifts were given, we went back outside to capture a few more portraits of the newlyweds at sunset.

The sunset was nothing short of magnificent!
