Sweet Engagement Session at The Beauty Spot { TN / NC Engagement Photographer }

Eric and Brittany's Super Sweet Engagement Session at The Beauty Spot in Erwin, TN

We had such a great time with these two at The Beauty Spot.   The Beauty Spot lives up to its name. It's a grassy bald on the TN/NC border where the Appalachian Trail passes over the Unaka Mountains.

Eric decided to bring his motorcycle up the mountain, so of course, we had to get a few shots with it! So cool!

The weather was perfect and the sunset was even more amazing!

Scroll down to see a sneak peek into their super sweet engagement session and read all about how they met and their love story.

Tell Us How You Met

"One day at work, my supervisor, Johnny, and I were talking about church and what it meant to us. He had invited me to come to church with him and his family. During that same week, Johnny had told me about this young woman named Brittany who attended the same church as him. She was around my age, single, and very sweet. So for the next week, I was excited for not only church but to also meet this young woman I had heard so much about. Sunday finally came, I went to church and sat with Johnny and his family. After the service, he pointed Brittany out to me. Being my not so courageous self, I reluctantly approached her and introduced myself."-Eric

Tell Us About Your Love Story

"One week after meeting each other, Eric was at work sitting inside one of the machines that he was cleaning when God spoke to him. God brought Eric to his knees and made it loud and clear that Brittany was the one He had set aside for him. Eric did struggle with this and questioned God, but eventually, he accepted what God had told him to be true. After that, Eric started pursuing Brittany and kept pursuing Brittany even though she was very reluctant, kept her distance, and was unsure about the idea of dating. Brittany noticed that no matter what she tried to do or say to push Eric away, he kept on pursuing her. After about a month of Eric chasing after Brittany and wondering why she hadn't expressed interest, they finally went out on their first date to Dollywood to see the Great Pumpkin LumiNights. Over the next few months, Eric and Brittany grew closer to one another and fell in love. Brittany realized that Eric was the man that she had been praying for her entire life. In January, Eric ordered Brittany's engagement ring. Needless to say, God was definitely testing Eric's patience, because it took quite a while for the ring to come it. In fact, it took right at three months to come in. Eric did propose to Brittany, and their wedding is set for September 15th of 2018." -Brittany and Eric

Tell Us How He Proposed

"It was Easter Sunday, consequently April Fool's Day fell on the same day. However, there was no fooling around happening that day. That morning, I was asked by our worship leader, Matt, to participate in a skit they had planned for the Easter service. This skit was about creation, and they needed someone to play the part of Adam and Eve. Do you see where I'm going with this? At first, I declined because the ones who know me know I don't like being on stage. After much persistence from multiple people, I agreed. Not much to my surprise, Eric was playing the part of Adam. Our pastor was the narrator of the skit and began reciting Genesis. I remember feeling so nervous and awkward as we were acting all of this out. I realized what was about to happen when our pastor recited "It is not good for a man to be alone." Eric got down on one knee with ring in hand and said, "Brittany Cheyenne Winegar, will you marry me?" Of course, I said YES!! As Eric was trying to place the ring on my finger, he dropped it (fumble on the play!) and it rolled to the foot of the cross we have on stage. It was a sweet reminder that no matter what we face in this life that we can always come to the feet of Jesus."
